From generator sets of all sizes (we are a master distributor for Power Tech Generators, with a full line of Marine, Stand-by, Industrial and RV gensets), to parts (we are a dealer and/or distributor for many heavy-duty diesel parts manufacturers, therefore we stock thousands of parts used on a daily basis in the industry), to service (our master technicians vary in areas of expertise, giving us the distinct ability to provide owners and managers of all types and brands of equipment the highest quality in preventative maintenance, fleet management, expert diagnostics, major repairs, remanufacturing, and more), Fischer's Diesel Service has it all. Of course, like most successful companies, Fischer's Diesel Service started with one man and his vision.
In April of 1988, following several years as a diesel mechanic and shop foreman, Greg Fischer branched out on his own. Greg started Fischer's Diesel Service in a modest 3200 square-foot, rented facility in LaPorte, TX. In the summer of 1989, Greg, having already earned a reputation as an expert in the heavy-duty, diesel repair industry, opened a new state-of-the-art, 3700 square-foot facility in Pasadena, TX. By 1993, Fischer's had expanded to 7 employees operating in an over 10,000 square foot "full service" shop.
In 1998, Fischer's continuous, rapid growth brought forth more expansion in the form of a second company, FDS Maintenance. A new facility was added next to Fischer's to house FDS, resulting in a collective 18,000 square feet of industry leading equipment and facilities. With the addition of FDS, Fischer's had two seperate, purpose-specific facilities in which our 16 employees could, with even greater effeciency, meet the needs and exceed the expetations of our growing customer base. We could now concentrate on the industry's increasing demands for exceptional preventative maintenance and fleet management (FDS Maintenance) and continue to lead the way in innovative and expert diagnostics, repairs, and re-manufacturing (Fischer's Diesel Service).
As we near the end of 2002, Fischer's Diesel Service and FDS Maintenance employ 23 of the most experienced, well-trained technicians in the heavy-duty diesel industry. Our T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Accomplishes More) continues to learn and work as a cohesive unit, which allows Fischer's to remain a leader in applying advancements of industry technology and innovation to the needs of each respective industry we serve.
Our steady growth has, for fifteen years, been a result of several key ingredients. First, quality is always #1 at Fischer's Diesel Service. While we have developed a reputation for rapid completion and competitive pricing, quality is the standard by which all other factors are measured.
